Playing Mrs. Claus

I love Christmas. I love the sparkly lights. I love the tinsel. I love the decorations. I love the way the kiddies light up when Santa is near. I love seeing my child jump for joy because the mail lady picked up his letter to Santa.

And I love the giving.

This year, my holiday was extra special. Every second Saturday in December, I help out Santa by taking photos of him with the local children. This year was no different. But it was also the day one of my writing chapters announced the names of the winners of the Beacon Contest. With the help of a few elves, two of the winners were presented their awards during RWA holiday parties. That was awesome!

While I couldn’t be there in person (because of the Santa pictures), I have been assured that I’ll see photos of my friends receiving their awards.

So, I guess in a way, I played Mrs. Claus multiple times today. How cool is that?
