The last time I was on a train round trip was the first time I’d ever been on a train–except for the Metro in DC. At first, I eagerly waited for Cary Grant to step into the car and say, “Hello, Darling.”
When he failed to show, I worked for a little while, then I watched movies on my tablet. (This is me watching ELF.) As much as I would have adored a young CG sitting with me on the train, I did get a ton of work done. When I wasn’t watching Will Ferrell, that is. 😉
This weekend is the New Jersey Romance Writers Conference! I’m so excited. I’ll be moderating the panel, His Eyes are Blue, Not Green, for the fabulous P.A. DePaul and I will even present my own workshop, Writing Contests: How to Get the Most Bang for Your Buck.
Like the last time I traveled for a conference, I’ll be taking the train again. This time, I won’t wait for Cary Grant, but I’m bringing my laptop and my own imagination with me. I’m working on a new story idea. 🙂
The moment I arrive in New Jersey, it should be a whirlwind of a day. With my presentation at 2pm and P.A. DePaul’s two hours later, I won’t stop until dinner. The next day, I’ll participate in the big book signing on Saturday. So if you’re in the Iselin, NJ area, come out and see me. I’d love to see some friendly faces! 🙂
